All About Cipher!

Not all fights are declared bad!

Suits of men and women were we,
Running around to complete tasks for free,
Oh invaders!! Our land they invade,
Cipher is upon us,
Stand our ground we do,
Our counsel we establish,
Coin keepers of wealth,
Men of valour,
Agents of truth,
Men of minds,
Knights from above,

                                                                          And finally...
Leaders of justice,
All uniting for the cause,
Hear our battle cry,
For the glory of the motherland,
Fight!!!! The good fight,
Oh yes we did,
And won...
Kings of the lands of gold and mystery are we,
Hurray!! Businessland is ours!!
Cipher had fallen.

Food Truck Tale Resumes!

Can't get enough of the food truck festival!

The SJCC E-Cell in association with NEN organized a week long food truck festival in the college campus. We invited various people who left their professional jobs to follow their passion. It kick-started on July 1st with the Business fest Cipher and culminated with an amazing success during the Cultural fest- Kalotsav. It was a wonderful platform and an excellent opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to sell and market their products. Their interesting stories inspired our students igniting in them entrepreneurship spirit. Food trucks are a combination of dedication, perseverance, resilience and love for the art of making every bite delicious. Each had an innovative and impressive menu. It was really a tantalizing week. Students got a chance to explore varied sumptuous and splendid cuisines from all over the world. It was exciting to taste some exuberant and outstanding dishes. The fantastic food not only tickled our palate but was also a feast to the eyes. It was indeed an incredibly wonderful experience for both e leaders and e members and left delightful memories to cherish.

CIPHER - Suit Up!

A fest most awaited by many, CIPHER allows its participants to witness firsthand what it means to tackle business in a real world scenario.
Textbooks aside, contestants were asked to use their practical knowledge to attempt to deconstruct problems and crisis which modern day businesses face, a very daunting task to many.

CIPHER consists of 6 events, namely Public Relations, Marketing, Best Manager, Enterprise Development, Business Quiz and Human Resources. Every class was allowed to send a team of two for each event. The competition was high, each class wanting to prove their worth among their competitors. Points were gained for each class not only by the students representing their class in the various events but also by dress code. “SUIT UP” being the CIPHER slogan, classes with the most  students “suited-up” would gain more points. At the end, I BBA ‘A’ had the most number of smartly dressed pupils.

Freshers  don’t need time to become Masters, a statement most apt for 1 BBA as they were declared the overall winners of CIPHER 2016. Ms. Tina Singh, Class Teacher of 1 BBA ‘A’ was extremely happy with the outcome. “Hardly a month into college and the students of 1 BBA ‘A’ have shown that they are smart, talented and most importantly “Game Changers”. I am so incredibly proud of each and every student for their participation. The fact that they have understood and secured prizes in events like HR, PR, Finance and so on, in the first month of their journey is honestly admirable. I hope for more and the very best for everyone in the years to come."

The E-Cell, one of the college's many associations, provided for staff and students a chance to replenish their hunger by organizing various food trucks to park in the college campus and serve some of the most delicious fast food in Bangalore. Four trucks with four different cuisines over two days ensured a huge crowd.

Let's business talk!
In the end, some “Deciphered CIPHER” while others strived to. The experience was invaluable to all, making the event a success on the whole.

One of the most attractive sights on the campus were the food trucks lined up in the basketball court. They offered a wide range of culinary delicacies from fast food, Chinese and French cuisine. This was an initiative by the E-Cell in order to encourage entrepreneurship and startup culture in the campus.

The most awaited event of day two was the ethnic parade. Students walked the ramp showcasing India’s diverse culture, wearing beautiful costumes from sarees to ghagras , salwars and lungis. The models carried out their costumes with elegance and grace.
